"Vertically gifted" 😆
Hello! Welcome to the latest Growth By Social 🌱 where we’re talking about:
📱 This week’s social media news
❤️ My favorite social posts of the week
✍️ How I learn about my team
🍗 KFC’s latest ad campaign
🍿 The Warner Bros / Snapchat partnership
First up…
💰 Meta is updating its Creator Bonus Program - creators on the platform now have no cap on their earning potential! It used to be $30k a month, but now the channel is saying “sky’s the limit!”
📱YouTube has expanded access to its “Create” short-form video editing app! People in Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Hong Kong, Ireland and other countries can now use it.
🧵 You can now save posts in Threads.
📈 Your pinned posts on X will now be shown to all of your followers, but this boost will only be available for one post every 48 hours.
Not on a Friday, pleeeease 🥲

Your friendly reminder to not do this, this week 😉
Love this one from KitKat - simple but effective!
✍️ How I learn about my team
It’s always been on my radar that to be an effective leader, I’ve got to keep learning about my team.
We’ve added a few new writers to the MixBloom team recently and we’re always figuring out how to help them grow.
Here are some things I do, that might help your team too:
👉 Let them focus on their craft by giving them the certainty of enough work and more opportunities if they want them. I trust my team 100% and always allow them to work autonomously - as long as the clients are happy, I’m happy!
👉 Provide resources to learn and improve.
👉 Give them the chance to be a part of a growing community with other skilled creators to network and learn from. The MixBloom team consists of talented social media managers from all over the US, UK and Canada - making it a super cool and unique opportunity for them to learn from people that they may never have crossed paths with otherwise.
🍗 KFC’s latest ad campaign

Love this recent campaign from KFC!
To promote its latest chicken burger, the fast-food chain has run an ad campaign showing how it’s too ‘vertically gifted’ to be shown on traditional media - including TV and billboards 😆
A fun way to appeal to those with bigger appetites!
Let’s hope the new tower burger lives up to expectations after this!
🍿 The Warner Bros / Snapchat partnership
Warner Bros has partnered with Snapchat to promote its latest release ‘Dune: Part Two’ - here’s how ⤵️
Video ads and an AR lens!
The lens uses imagery from the movie to create an immersive experience for users to become one of Dune’s characters.
It’s all about leveraging Snapchat to encourage a younger audience to book tickets to see the new film, which debuted last week.
Users can click straight on the video ads in Snapchat to book their tickets - making it convenient for people to get their ticks.
This seems to be working for Warner Bros - it’s something they did for the release of Barbie last year too.
Plus, according to a study by the NRG, Snapchat users are almost 2x more likely to see a movie on opening weekend than those who don’t use the platform!
Interesting!
