☑️ Facebook is going to remove the option for public followers on personal profiles, so if you have a lot of public followers on your personal account, make sure you make the switch to a professional account soon!

👀 Facebook is joining Instagram and is now counting ‘Views’ as its main metric, for photo and video content.

🔄 Fancy a reset on Instagram? You’ll soon be able to do just that - meaning Instagram will forget everything it knows about your interests, and show you new tailored content! Maybe in time for ‘New Year, New You”!

🤏 You can now pinch to zoom video content on X.

#️⃣ Instagram is removing the option to follow hashtags.

🥤 Pepsi’s undercover cups

Everyone knows the Pepsi / Coca Cola feud. And the rivalry continues with Pepsi’s new ad campaign - “Undercover Cups” (see what they did there? 😆).

This campaign is a fine piece of guerilla-style marketing where Pepsi ambassadors gatecrash meals in Burger King, Wendy’s and McDonald’s (cough - Coca Cola partners - cough) and replace customers’ drinks cups with Pepsi cups.

Because “every burger deserves Pepsi”.

The video ads have been shared on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and X and the campaign is super timely with National Fast Food Day earlier this week.

This went hand in hand with another marketing campaign that gave DoorDash users a $5 discount on their orders at places like Taco Bell and KFC, but only IF the meal was paired with a drink of Pepsi. Clever.

A fantastic (albeit cheeky) campaign from the cola company - can’t wait to see the bloopers of the ad! 😆
