Their first campaign in over 5 years 😱
Hey! Welcome to the latest Growth By Social 🌱 where we’re talking about:
📱 This week’s social media news
❤️ My favorite social posts of the week
🍓 Fruit by the Foot’s first campaign in 5 years
⛷️ Why Arapahoe Basin is leaving no days behind
So what’s been going on this week?
🗨️ In further efforts to increase engagement, Instagram users can now leave comments on stories which are there to view for all followers who interact with the story!
🥽 Meta has decided to shut down their Sparks AR Studio which allowed creators to build effects and filters using AR. This comes as the prep to launch their own, more advanced AR.
👾 In what was thought to be a rebranding of Facebook where the app logo turned blue and black for users, was actually a technical glitch.
🌐 YouTube’s AI topic categories in comment sections are expanding to include all comment-supported languages.
👻 Increasing their share in the ad world, Snapchat is introducing ‘Sponsored Snaps’ which will appear as chats for users, pushing messaging directly into user inboxes.
TGIF 😉
It NEVER just takes 5 mins though, does it? 😆

That Friday feelin’ really do be hittin’ today! 🙌
🍓 Fruit by the Foot’s first campaign in 5 years
Fruit snack company, Fruit by the Foot (you may know them for their fruit winders!), are back on the campaign scene after 5 years!
Its ‘Unwind Longer’ ad series with Dentsy Creative has recently launched - just in time for back-to-school, where kids and parents will be getting ready for tasty new snacks in their lunch boxes.
The campaign has three seriously funny ads - two of which are 30 seconds and one snappier at 15 seconds - that all playfully exaggerate the snack’s distinctive and iconic three-foot length. By the time each teen subject has done finishing their fruit winder, they’re too old to hang out with current friends 😆
Fruit of the Foot and Dentsy Creative have distinctively targeted the TikTok generation, with the ads designed to be memorable, meme-able and ideal for doom-scrolling laughs.
So nice to see Fruit by the Foot back in the campaign game - at the perfect time too! Check out one of the ads below 👇
⛷️ Why Arapahoe Basin is leaving no days behind
Colorado-based alpine ski area, Arapahoe Basin, has worked with Cactus to create their ‘Leave No Days Behind’ campaign.
Through a series of ads featuring skiers who refuse to let anything like work, chores, or even (daringly) Mother Nature stand in the way of their mountain time, Arapahoe Basin calls for skiers and snowboarders to make every snow day count.
The campaign with a 15 seconds and 30 second ad will run across social media, digital platforms, and even feature surprise pop-ups, all aimed at getting everyone to maximize their time on the mountain and make the most of the upcoming ski season before it ends (because we all know how quickly the year goes 😱).
Love!
